An exclusive lawn care franchise territory is generally considered a major selling point. GrassRoots will be offering exclusive territories to their lawn care franchisees as one of the key benefits.
Exclusive territories can offer a competitive advantage in the franchise sales and marketing environment. As a result, the GrassRoots system will grant its franchisees an exclusive territory and will use this as a competitive advantage against other non-territory franchise concepts.
Market Considerations
We offer territories based on a population in a specific market. Ideally, the size would be 50,000 to 100,000 in the MSA.
There may be other factors as well, accounting for the number of homes in the area, the level of competition, the capabilities of the buyer, etc.
A few deciding factors in determining franchise territories.
Each territory will support a business that is commensurate with the initial investment and the caliber of the franchisee that will fit each profile.
Although the areas will be defined by population for accounts, there will be geographic considerations as well. State or county lines will be considered when determining areas that will constitute territories.
The exclusivity will be defined as in no other franchisees will be permitted to open in that market. Franchisees will also be given protection over the accounts in that market.
